St. Charles Youth Hockey Association
JP Beilsten and Rick Matteson are very excited to announce that Matteson Square Garden and The Wheel inside Omni Sportsplex have formed a partnership to revive roller hockey in the St. Louis area.
The new concept for roller hockey is not new at all, ice hockey has been doing it for a long time. Now it’s time for roller hockey to take the next step so the players can get the best training possible and be able to enjoy the game at an affordable price for the parents.
What are the objectives: 1. Create a league for kids from beginners to travel players 2. Create even teams and have competitive games 3. Have each player meet new friends 4. Teach all kids new skills and how to play the game How teams are formed: NO CUTS EVERYONE IS PLACED ON A TEAM! The new league will no longer allow teams to sign up as a whole. As in ice we are going to have a evaluations so kids can be placed on teams to make each team as competitive as possible. We will keep in mind that kids like to play with their friends.
Games and Training: Each team will play 15 games. Each team will receive 5 team practices. Jerseys: Everyone will have a dark and light jersey. You will be expected to where these at each game.
Coaches: We will be selecting coaches who have experience in roller or ice hockey. We are looking for coaches with travel hockey experience or rec hockey experience that is willing to take their coaching to the next level. Where games will be played: Games and practices will be played half at Omni and half MSG. Cost: $210.00 per player
